We had the a Newcomer's morning tea today. Not quite sure if we didn't advertise well enough, or maybe we've just got some shy newcomer's at the moment. We did have a couple of new faces in and it was lovely to see. Of course we managed to perk some people up with our fabulous Nesspresso© coffee and delicious sweet treats.
We also kicked off our revamped craft group. This morning's effort was a small card making exercise organised by Kylie. Elise kindly volunteered to be the new coordinator of the group and we had some really great ideas about upcoming activities, such as candle making, soap making, belt making, jewellery making, sugar paste modelling and flower arranging. It was great to see some new interest the original group dwindled , mostly due to members leaving town. New members are always welcome and remember you only need to bring yourselves. All materials will be provided for only $2! What a bargain.
This Friday, Bonnie Steele will be hosting an Enjo demonstration here at the Community Centre so if you're interested, make sure you come down and see what she has to offer. I believe there will be a lucky door prize as well.
Breaking News: WCCA will be at the Easter Markets at Western Cape College on Sunday afternoon, hoping to tempt patrons with a fresh hot coffee. It should be particularly inviting if the weather continues along it's current trend. Deanne has also generously donated her time to come down and sell some of the second hand books .We really do have a great selection and it's a great opportunity for people who don't get the chance to come and look during our opening hours.
